Week 16 update (Dixon) - Death March

Well the peppers are growing like crazy, and the new leaves are nice and green for a few days, and then begin to succumb to the multiple (I think) diseases that are plaguing the plants. There are dozens of new flowers forming...though I'd say about 30% of the buds yellow out and fall off before getting to the flowering stage. I think I'm just going to let the current peppers grow and hopefully turn red and get 1 more crop before culling the plants. It is frustrating knowing how weakened these silly pepper plants are, and how much more productive a healthy plant would be.

In other news, the herbs are doing incredible (see previous post), with the exception of the Basil (which I culled last week). I am in the process of drying a massive amount of herbs, it is very exciting.

So, all 3 people (including Shaun and I) that read this blog I'm sure are most interested in the pictures, so ON WITH THE SHOW!!!!

The whole garden....sickly peppers :(

The Thyme is still looking out of control, even after I cut off 1/2 the plants!

Rosemary with a haircut!

Sage looking very healthy

Cilantro....definitely the most frequently harvested and most robust herb. Amazing.

Parsley chugging along

Lo and behold, one of the little peppers turned red!

Red...in a sea of green.

These are the baby leaves that have tried to make a comeback on the bottom of the plant.

26 inches and still growing daily.
